Global Black Pride Paris celebrates black LGBTQIA+ communities through culture, pride and activism in the capital

Global Black Pride Paris marks the very first edition in Europe of this international event dedicated to black LGBTQIA+ people. It offers a rich, multi-faceted program: conferences, an associative village, a pride parade, a music festival and community celebrations. The event aims to enhance Afro-Queer voices, promote equality, foster visibility and create a space for joyful resistance. Five days of encounters, celebration and commitment for a historic moment in France. The patrons of this Paris edition are: Niecy Nash-Betts (Emmy Award-winning actress and producer), Lady Phyll (co-founder and chief executive of UK Black Pride), Jérémy Clamy-Edroux (former French professional rugby player and equality campaigner), Olivia Shola (transgender feminist and human rights campaigner) and Giselle Palmer (model, actress, award-winning presenter and international ballroom icon).
Prices vary depending on the event. Many events are free, such as the Walk on September 12, 2026.

🌈 Highlights of Global Black Pride Paris

From 9 to 13 September 2026, Global Black Pride Paris offers five days of gatherings, celebrations and discoveries centred on Afroqueer cultures and Black LGBTQIA+ communities:

  • Wednesday 9 September 2026: opening ceremony at 5pm, by invitation only, at the Chapelle Saint-Lazare (Square Alban Satragne, 6 rue Léon Schwartzenberg, Paris 10th arrondissement)
  • Thursday 10 September 2026: Day 1 of the Global Black Queer Assembly, from 10am to 6pm at the 10th arrondissement town hall (72 rue du faubourg Saint-Martin, Paris 10th arrondissement)

  • Friday 11 September 2026: Day 2 of the Global Black Queer Assembly, from 10am to 6pm at the 10th arrondissement town hall (72 rue du Faubourg Saint-Martin, Paris 10th arrondissement)
  • Friday 11 September 2026: Black Excellence Awards Gala, a prestigious evening celebrating the individuals and initiatives that contribute to the influence and visibility of Black LGBTQIA+ communities around the world. At Espace Reuilly, 21 rue Henard, Paris 12th arrondissement. At 7pm

  • Saturday 12 September 2026: the Global Black Pride We the People March, the highlight of the event, this grand, festive march brings together Black LGBTQIA+ communities and the general public on the streets of Paris. A key moment - open to all - of visibility, celebration and mobilisation, open to everyone. The march is due to set off at 2pm (gathering at 1 pm) from Square Léon in the Goutte d’Or neighbourhood, arriving at 5pm at Place de la République, via Rue Léon and Rue Doudeauville and Boulevard Barbès and Boulevard Magenta. The march will be followed by a major Global Black Pride Music Festival, free and open to the public on Place de la République, until 10pm
  • After-party on Saturday 12 September 2026 from 11pm to 5am. At Bowling Foch & Le Vogue: 2 bis Avenue Foch, Paris 16th arrondissement. From €15

What is Global Black Pride?

Global Black Pride is the first global gathering dedicated to celebrating, raising the profile of, and defending the rights of Black and people of colour within the LGBTQIA+ community.
