The festival returns to the Temple of Sri Manicka Vinayakar Alayam in the 18th arrondissement
Around the Temple of Sri Manicka Vinayakar Alayam at 17 rue Pajol, the 18th arrondissement of Paris is celebrating Ganesha, the elephant-headed Hindu god. Religious ceremonies get underway from August 30, 2020 9am and the procession leaves the temple at 10.30am, parading around the Marx Dormoy district until 3pm. Around the floats dedicated to Ganesha, Murugan, and Durga, a procession made up of dancers and musicians distribute blessed offerings and treats and break coconuts along the way, symbols of offerings to Ganesha.
