Jardin d'Acclimatation, Bois de Boulogne - 75116 Paris
From 10 December 2025 to 8 March 2026
Japan in Lights comes to the Jardin d'Acclimatation: a magical and poetic journey through lanterns
The Lantern Festival returns to the very heart of the Bois de Boulogne. At nightfall, dinosaurs take over the Jardin d'Acclimatation from autumn to spring. 40 species, including tyrannosaurs, velociraptors, allosaurs, triceratops and even diplodocus, are on display for children and their parents to admire, illuminated by 2,000 lanterns. This year, the event transports you to the Land of the Rising Sun with ‘Japan in Lights’. More than a thousand giant lanterns, designed by artisans, recreate a luminous and poetic fresco of Japanese symbols. You can admire majestic reconstructions of pagodas, temples, iconic figures of geishas and samurai, as well as scenes of nature inspired by Mount Fuji. This nocturnal and cultural walk is a magical journey for children and parents alike. Event organised under the patronage of the Embassy of Japan in France.
Open from 6pm to 9.30pm every day - last admission at 9pm. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays outside school holidays (zone C).
