From 28 May to 23 June 2026

An annual musical event combining classical repertoire and world music in Saint-Denis' emblematic historic monuments

Created in 1969, the Festival de Saint-Denis takes place every year from the end of May to the end of June. It takes place in two venues steeped in history: the Cathedral Basilica, a masterpiece of Gothic art, and the Maison d'éducation de la Légion d'honneur. The program features major works and contemporary creations, performed by international artists and emerging talents. In addition to classical music, the event also features jazz, pop and world music in a variety of formats. The festival also extends its activities to other venues in the city, such as the Musée d'art et d'histoire Paul Éluard and the church of Saint-Denys-de-l'Estrée. Its activities extend throughout the year via art education projects in Seine-Saint-Denis and partnerships with associations. By supporting artist residencies and access for all, the festival links architectural heritage with local cultural dynamism.
