Spotlight on the drawings of painter Auguste Renoir and the wealth of graphic techniques he used for his canvases.

The Musée d'Orsay presents a new exhibition dedicated to the drawings of the painter Auguste Renoir. Little known as a draughtsman, throughout his career he used the graphic arts to create and design his famous paintings. Around a hundred drawings and a few paintings reveal the links between the artist's canvases and works on paper, as well as the wealth of techniques he used, from charcoal and pen to pastel and sanguine. On view from 17 March to 5 July 2026.
