Spotlight on Photography: From Heritage to Contemporary Images at the Bourse de Commerce - Pinault Collection
To mark the bicentennial of the Bourse de Commerce, the exhibition “Remember Me,” opening on 7 October 2026, will take over the entire building to celebrate photography. The event’s title is borrowed from a work by Barbara Kruger, who will present a monumental installation - the largest the artist has ever created in France - in the rotunda and its twenty-four display cases. Bringing together nearly 700 works by more than 70 artists - ranging from 19th-century images to contemporary creations - this retrospective reflects François Pinault’s growing interest in photography since 2007. Through a selection that reflects both the history of the medium and the collector’s perspective, the exhibition combines major sections dedicated to Irving Penn and Raymond Depardon with thematic sections exploring the gaze, the sea, the body, and even the materiality of the image, highlighting the full diversity of photographic practices.
