The exhibition "Noa Eshkol, 1924–2007. Danse et compositions" (Noa Eshkol, 1924–2007. Dance and Compositions) at the Museum of Jewish Art and History, opening on 16 April 2026, honours choreographer Noa Eshkol, one of the first pioneers of modern dance. Known for her movement notation system, the artist popularised this system, which eventually spread to fields other than dance. From 1973 onwards, she devoted herself to creating large textile compositions called ‘Wall Carpets,’ which she created with the help of her troupe. These canvases are made from scraps of costume fabric and sewn together to represent landscapes, still lifes or abstract figures.
