One hundred masterpieces of French goldsmithing from the Miche Lacoste collection highlight the refinement and excellence of French craftsmanship

Through the exhibition “Michel Lacoste’s donation to the musée du Louvre. Precious metalwork from Pierre Mangot to Jean-Élisée Puiforcat” 100 masterpieces of French silverwork from the Michel Lacoste collection, which the owner bequeathed to the museum in 2025. Dating mostly from the 17th and 18th centuries, these rare and remarkable pieces bear witness to the refinement and excellence of French craftsmanship, as well as its diversity. They can be admired in the Department of Decorative Arts, alongside the Louvre’s silver and ceramics collections, until 11 January 2027.
