The Château d'Asnières opens its doors to Matières, an exhibition exploring the links between painting and sculpture through the work of several contemporary artists. In the rooms of this emblematic Hauts-de-Seine monument, the works invite visitors to take a fresh look at matter, whether worked, modeled, sculpted or laid down on canvas. Through a selection of creations in a variety of techniques, the exhibition highlights the richness of textures, volumes and artistic gestures. Between abstraction, figuration and plastic experimentation, the tour reveals the diversity of contemporary approaches and the many ways in which artists engage with materials. An invitation to discover art from the angle of sensitivity, form and the transformation of matter.
