The Château de Fontainebleau, where Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI lived from 1774 to 1786, is hosting the special exhibition “Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI at Fontainebleau. Splendor and the Good Life,” dedicated to the royal couple and their daily life at this prestigious summer retreat. Featuring more than 120 works—from portraits to sculptures and objets d’art—the exhibition offers a deep dive into the lives of the queen and the king, exploring their artistic tastes and the pleasures of court life. The tour offers visitors the chance to admire the exceptionally well-preserved interiors of the Turkish Boudoir, the Silver Boudoir, the Queen’s Grand Cabinet, the King’s Powder Room, the Buffet Room, and the Chapel of the Trinity. On view from October 11 through January 25, 2027.
From 9.30am to 5pm. Closed on Tuesday and January 1.
