Look! 40 Years of Fashion at the Museum

40 iconic silhouettes showcase the craftsmanship of the couture ateliers and the preservation efforts of the Museum of Fashion Arts

For the past 40 years, the Museum of Decorative Arts has been home to the Museum of Fashion Arts. The exhibition “Look! 40 Years of Fashion at the Museum” celebrates this anniversary by showcasing, in the museum’s main hall, a selection of 40 iconic looks that have shaped the history of haute couture. It highlights the diverse skills of the artisans and the various stages that transform these exceptional pieces into works of art in their own right - from the initial sketch to the runway show, including photography, conservation, and restoration of these garments. On view from 30 September to 4 April 2027.
