The heritage sites that have been studied for the past fifty years by the French archaeological mission in Libya

Through 20 October 2026, the Arab World Institute is presenting the exhibition “Libya: Heritage Revealed,” dedicated to the heritage sites that have been studied over the past fifty years by the French Archaeological Mission in Libya (MAFL). The exhibition explores a wide variety of sites, dating from prehistory to the Middle Ages, through a selection of photographs and videos. This is an opportunity for the public to discover the underwater excavations at the port of Apollonia, as well as those at Leptis Magna, Sabratha, Măsak, Bu Njem and the Syrtis region, Abu Tamsa, Latrun, and the western Marmarique region.
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Closed on Monday.
€15. €5 for those under 26.
