A Look at Korea's Artistic and Cultural Heritage from the 17th to the 20th Century During the Joseon Dynasty
On view at the Cernuschi Museum from 20 November to 4 April 2027, the exhibition “Korea. The Kingdom of Scholars (1600 - 1900)” highlights Korea’s artistic and cultural heritage during the second half of the Joseon Dynasty. Through an exceptional selection of antique paintings, decorative art objects, and furniture, the exhibition immerses visitors in the refined world of the intellectual elite of the time. Visitors discover the central role of the literati, their refined aesthetic, their calligraphic and pictorial practices, as well as the art of living that shaped Korean society from the 17th to the early 20th century.
