From 14 April to 6 September 2026

Retrospective at the Petit Palais dedicated to Károly Ferenczy, a major figure in the modern Hungarian art scene

The exhibition ‘Károly Ferenczy. Modernité hongroise’, which opens on 14 April 2026 at the Petit Palais, invites visitors to discover Károly Ferenczy (1863-1917), a major figure in the modern Hungarian art scene. This first French retrospective, in collaboration with the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest, highlights the work of the painter, who blended symbolism and naturalism. Strongly inspired by nature and plein air painting, Károly Ferenczy stands out for the diversity of his paintings - portraits, nudes, scenes from everyday life, landscapes, etc. - and the vibrant colours he uses. In this exhibition, the Petit Palais also explores the cultural and aesthetic links between Hungary and France.
From 10am to 6pm. From 10am to 8pm on Friday and Saturday. Closed on Monday.
€17. Reduced price : €15. Free for children under 18.
