A winner of the Tchaikovsky Competition, Dmitry Masleev is today one of the most exciting pianists of his generation. At the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, he presents a recital entirely dedicated to Rachmaninoff, offering an exploration of the Russian composer’s full expressive range. From the famous “Pictures at an Exhibition” to the monumental Piano Sonata No. 2, including rare transcriptions of romances and several iconic early works, this program highlights both the lyricism and the virtuosity of the Russian repertoire.
