The elegant and tree-lined avenue de Breteuil with its bourgeois apartment buildings invites walkers to take a gentle stroll while enjoying a superb view of the dome of the Invalides. It also features pleasant green spaces, children’s play areas, two fountains and a monument to Pasteur by French sculptor and painter Alexandre Falguière (1831-1900). On place de Breteuil, note the well dug in 1841.
