Inaugurated in 1924, the Butte-aux-Cailles swimming pool is striking at first sight for its large vault supported by several concrete arches. Its art nouveau style, in complete harmony with the picturesque Butte-aux-Cailles district, not far from the Place d'Italie, has made it one of the two listed swimming pools in Paris. When it comes to sports facilities, the Butte-aux-Cailles pool is about average for the capital, with no fewer than three pools (a 33-metre indoor pool and two outdoor pools of 25 and 12 metres). The Butte-aux-Cailles pool also has an outdoor Nordic pool, open all year round, summer and winter!
