Palais de Chaillot

The Palais de Chaillot is located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, between the Place du Trocadéro and the Trocadéro Gardens. Built for the 1937 International Exhibition of "Arts and Techniques Applied to Modern Life", it consists of two neo-classical style pavilions, separated by an esplanade, the Parvis des Droits de l'Homme. It offers one of the most memorable views of the Trocadero gardens and the Eiffel Tower. The Palais de Chaillot is home to four major cultural institutions: the Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine, the Musée national de la Marine, the Musée de l'Homme and Chaillot - Théâtre national de la Danse.

Opening times and prices

Chaillot - Théâtre national de la Danse organises every last Saturday of the month to discover its heritage and backstage.

Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine: full price €8 for permanent collections, €12 for a combined ticket with temporary exhibitions.
The Musée de l'Homme: full price €10 (TR: €8) including the Galerie de l'Homme, the temporary exhibitions and the Balcon des Sciences.
Chaillot - Théâtre national de la Danse: from €8 to €43 for a show depending on the category and type of audience.

The Cité de l’architecture stays open late on Thursday (to 9pm).

The Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine and the Musée de l'Homme are open every day except Tuesday. The Cité de l'architecture is open at night on Thursdays (until 9pm). Chaillot - Théâtre national de la Danse is open depending on the programme. The ticket office is open before the show. Maximum amount in cash: 300€. However, the theatre cannot guarantee that tickets will be available at the last minute and advises to book and pay as soon as possible.
