Musée français de la photographie

The French Museum of Photography displays a vast collection of photographic equipment and images retracing the history of photography and its social purposes. You'll see camera obscuras, velocigraphs, magic lanterns, rare daguerreotypes, a developing tank, miniature cameras used by spies...in short, a real Ali Baba's cave where you can learn about the invention process or simply admire the beauty of the cameras and both old and modern photos.

Opening times and prices

Under 18 years.

Free for: teachers, museum and art school professionals; journalists, registered jobseekers, tour guides and ICOM card holders.
Free on the 3rd weekend of every month.

€3. €2 for large families, students, seniors and disabled visitors.

Open to the public from Wednesday to Sunday, 1.30pm-5.30pm, except on public holidays.
