La Grille Royale - Parc de Marly - 78430 Louveciennes
78 - Yvelines
Like the guests of this famous French king, discover the other palace of Louis XIV. A lavish and intimate place, which today has disappeared, is where the king went with a few privileged courtesans to enjoy himself. The collections retrace the history of the estate of Louis XIV, and its evolution under Louis XV and Louis XVI. Part of the visit is devoted to the famous Marly machine, the eighth wonder of the world, intended to supply water to the fountains and ponds of Marly as well as those of Versailles.
