Dedicated to the transmission of Serge Gainsbourg's work, the Maison Gainsbourg is a cultural institution offering the public a unique visitor experience at two sites on rue de Verneuil in Paris (7th arrondissement):

- 5 bis: the historic house in which Serge Gainsbourg lived for 22 years, a legendary place preserved intact since his death in 1991. Inside, Charlotte Gainsbourg guides visitors step by step through an original soundtrack. Each guest is equipped with headphones for a 30-minute immersive experience.

- Opposite, at number 14: a museum retracing the artist's life and career, a bookshop-boutique and the Gainsbarre, a cosy restaurant and cocktail bar, extend the visit.

The Maison Gainsbourg is a heritage site, a cultural space and also a place to live and promote the arts, with the aim of enriching knowledge of Serge Gainsbourg's work in all its facets.

Restaurant:

Restaurant and cocktail bar of the Maison Gainsbourg, the Gainsbarre is inspired by the early years of Serge Gainsbourg's musical career, when he worked as a pianist in the capital's bars and cabarets. The decor reproduces the atmosphere created by Serge Gainsbourg in his home at 5 bis rue de Verneuil. He uses the same aesthetic and materials. All day long, it welcomes the museum public. In the evening, the lights dim and the Gainsbarre transforms into a cosy cocktail bar.
