The Maison de l'architecture en Île-de-France is situated inside the Couvent des Récollets, a former monastery, between Gare de l'Est and the Saint Martin Canal. On the street, the old chapel has been transformed into a multipurpose venue, just as suitable for meetings as it is for shows. The Order of Architects of Île-de-France wanted to make it a place for sharing, for dialogues and exchange, open to professionals and the public.
