La Maison Pompidou

Place Georges Pompidou - 75004 Paris Châtelet - Les Halles
Since September 22, 2025, the Centre Pompidou has been undergoing an historic metamorphosis. To remain as close as possible to its visitors, the institution is opening the Maison Pompidou, a reception and cultural space located on the piazza, in the building that previously housed the Atelier Brancusi. Although Brancusi's works will no longer be on view during this period of renovation, the Maison Pompidou ensures the continuity of the Beaubourg spirit. It's here that the story of a building that revolutionized the heart of Paris is told. Through a rich and accessible program, the public is invited to delve into the archives, understand the challenges of restoration and preview the transformations to come. A veritable community forum, the Maison Pompidou offers temporary exhibitions on the secrets behind the design of the original building by Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers, tours and workshops for young and old to explore art and architecture in a playful way, and regular events to exchange views with those involved in the works and the curators. Maison Pompidou is the ideal address for understanding how the museum is reinventing itself for tomorrow, while enjoying a free cultural break in the center of Paris.
