Located right in the heart of the Parc de la Villette, next to the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, the Géode, built in 1985 by architect Adrien Fainsilber, is an exceptional cinema in many ways: it's a gigantic steel sphere 36 metres in diameter, with an outer shell that reflects the Cité, the sky and the Villette site. The legendary theatre is equipped with a 1,000 m² hemispherical screen, and uses IMAX technology to create a captivating and totally immersive visual experience for the spectator.
