Backing onto the Petite Ceinture, the Ferme du Rail combines urban agriculture and solidarity. A winner of the Réinventer Paris call for projects, it includes a vegetable garden, a greenhouse, the Passage à Niveau restaurant, and a small wooden building designed to house some twenty people in the process of social reintegration. The restaurant, which is open to the public, is supplied with vegetables and fruit produced by the Farm, using methods of permaculture and aquaponics.
