Designed by Robert Cotte in the early seventeenth century, the Jardin de l'Intendant was created according to his plans three centuries later, in 1980. In perfect harmony with the Chapelle des Invalides, the l'Intendant garden houses a statue made by Ernest Dubois in the nineteenth century that honors Mansart, and all classic "French" gardens with yew trees pruned into a cone shape, the boxwood hedges trimmed into different geometric shapes ...
