Insula orchestra - l’orchestre résident à la Seine Musicale

Founded in 2012 by its artistic and musical director Laurence Equilbey and thanks to the support of the Hauts-de-Seine department, Insula Orchestra inaugurated La Seine Musicale in 2017. It is the resident orchestra.

In order to be as close as possible to the composer's intentions, Insula Orchestra plays on period instruments;
Alongside the masterpieces of the repertoire, they also feature rarer scores, in particular those by female composers;
Laurence Equilbey invites artists from different backgrounds to confront their stage writing with baroque, classical and romantic music;
The digital world should be a gateway to classical music ;
It has therefore developed an innovative digital constellation around its projects.

Opening times and prices

La Seine Musicale is closed on Sundays and Mondays (except in the case of shows/concerts: opening from 1h30 before the start of the performance).

Outside concerts, La Seine Musicale welcomes visitors from Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 7pm. When a concert is being organised, the ticket office remains open in the evening.

Seeing a show is great. Extending the emotion and conviviality over a drink is even better. If you're looking for a bite to eat, take advantage of the wide and varied range of food and drink on offer during your visit. The Octave restaurant, located inside La Seine Musicale, offers patrons a range of dishes prepared on site, from snacks to full menus. The terrace overlooking the Seine is particularly popular in summer.

A detailed programme is provided for each concert. This programme is provided free of charge and is a veritable ‘encyclopaedia’ of information about the concert. The Insula orchestra season brochure provides full details of the concerts.

Un escalier monumental, jouxtant la façade recouverte d’un écran géant face au parvis, invite à monter en partie haute du paquebot. Dès lors, le visiteur accède à un jardin de 7410 m2 labellisé refuge LPO depuis 2017.
