Parc de la Villette expands to offer Parisians and travellers a new stopover dedicated to biodiversity. Housed in the Halle de Rouvray, a historic building rehabilitated according to eco-responsible principles, the Ferme de la Villette extends over 15,000 m² of shared nature. The site is home to a number of residents, including donkeys, goats, sheep, chickens and rabbits. Here, animal welfare is a priority, offering visitors a privileged opportunity to observe and learn about the living world. The farm features several themed areas: the Jardins Passagers (a vegetable garden inspired by natural market gardening and a greenhouse), the Parcours Sensoriel (an area accessible to all (designed for the 5 senses) and a dye plant garden), and Learning for All (a program of workshops for children, teenagers and adults: gardening, natural dyeing, animal care, composting). A veritable laboratory for ecological transition, the farm is part of the park's RSO strategy, aimed at reconnecting city dwellers with the rhythms of nature.
