Paris La Défense presents “Disparition à La Défense,” a free outdoor mystery game that lets you discover the business district from a new perspective. Part giant Clue, part cultural tour, this immersive digital experience transforms the plaza and its surroundings into a life-size playground.
An international star scheduled to perform at La Défense has mysteriously disappeared on the very morning of the concert. Accompanied by Commissioner La Tour, your mission is to explore the area, collect clues, solve puzzles, and find the artist to save the event! Armed with a map found in the artist’s dressing room, you’ll explore the site while carefully observing the architecture, the prestigious towers, and the neighborhood’s iconic works of art. At each stage of the tour, answer the questions posed, unlock clues, and gradually eliminate red herrings to uncover the truth. The experience also includes virtual reality segments, granting access to certain areas of La Défense that are usually closed to the public.
Players who successfully solve the mystery can try to win one of 500 prizes offered by the neighborhood’s partners (hotels, cultural venues, restaurants, and recreational facilities).
Accessible to residents, employees, and students as well as French-speaking and international visitors, the game is suitable for all types of players:
- a family mode with puzzles tailored for children and school groups, and an adult mode offering a more complex challenge
- available in French and English
- play alone, with family, friends, or coworkers. Thanks to a shared game code, multiple participants can solve the mystery together and track their progress as a team
