Gothic or classical, depending on the angle from which you look at it, this church in the Marais is a curious blend of styles. The nave is pure Flamboyant Gothic, dating from the 16th century. The classical façade, built the following century, is a masterpiece after Voltaire. Inside, the building is richly decorated. A stone crown adorns the keystone of the Virgin Chapel. The stained glass windows in the Chapel of St John the Baptist date back to 531 and depict the Wisdom of Solomon.
