It was during the Haussmann era, in 19th century, that the city of Paris decided to build the Saint-Esprit temple between Place de la Madeleine at Place Saint-Augustin. Placed in the temple built by the architect Victor Baltard, the reformed church of the Saint-Esprit is one of the 500 parishes of the reformed church in France.
