Crypte archéologique de l'Ile de la Cité

The Île de la Cité Archaeological Crypt is located beneath Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. It is the largest archaeological crypt in Europe and offers a unique insight into the urban and architectural evolution of the Île de la Cité. Visitors can explore the foundations and remains of buildings constructed from the Gallo-Roman era through the 18th century. Slideshows, scale models, and guided tours for adults and children enhance the visit.

The Île de la Cité Archaeological Crypt is currently closed to the public due to preventive conservation and maintenance work on the ruins.
