Situated at the end of a courtyard, close to the Bastille, the 'Théâtre des Cinquante' was founded in 1985. In 2001, the theatre was renamed 'Comédie Bastille' and moved to the same district. Since then the Comédie Bastille has been proud to provide entertainment that encourages young writers, directors and actors. The theatre offers performances in English to schools.
