The Balzac is an independent arthouse cinema, located a few metres off the Champs-Elysées. Opened in 1935, it is one of the most important venues for Parisian film buffs. One-off screenings (operas, ballets such as "Pochette surprise du dimanche matin") are screened. As well as screenings, they have an organised concert every Saturday evening.
