The Asnières-sur-Seine Animal Cemetery, founded in 1899, is one of the oldest pet cemeteries in the world. Located on the banks of the Seine, it is home to the graves of thousands of animals, including dogs, cats, horses and birds. Among the most famous graves is that of Rin Tin Tin, the dog actor of silent films. The site, laid out like a garden, reflects the evolution of the relationship between man and animal, and remains a place of remembrance open to the public.
