CHURCH AND OTHER PLACES OF WORSHIP

Chapelle Notre-Dame de la Médaille Miraculeuse

140 rue du Bac - 75007 Paris Eiffel Tower - Invalides
At the end of a little courtyard, behind the Bon Marché department store, lies one of the most important places of prayer and Catholic pilgrimage in the French capital. In 1830, the Virgin Mary appeared for the second time to Catherine Labouré, a young nun, and ordered her to mint a protective holy medal. The medal was connected with miracles. Two hundred years later, the fervour is just as strong. Countless pilgrims from all over the world continue to flock to the site.
