The Bibliothèque Publique d'Information - BPI closed its doors on 2 March 2025, as the Centre Pompidou began a period (2025-2030) of renovation work. The BPI - along with the Centre Pompidou archives and the Kandinsky library - will be moving to the Lumière building at 40 avenue des Terroirs de France, in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, from Monday 25 August 2025.

The Bibliothèque Publique d'Information (or BPI) is a library inside the Centre Pompidou, in the heart of Paris. Like all libraries, it has reading spaces, encyclopaedic collections, etc, but it also hosts cultural activities (conferences, debates, cinema screenings of documentaries ... ). Temporary exhibitions are regularly held there. The BPI also offers tours allowing the public to familiarize themselves with the layout of the library and the services it offers.
