Les Caves du Louvre

Les Caves du Louvre is a venue like no other.
It is a splendid hidden gem that will leave your guests surprised and enchanted. The space was once a royal wine cellar. It was recently entirely remodeled and opened
to the public for the first time. Be prepared to wow your guests with an experience they will never forget!
This magnificent mansion has been built by André Eynaud, a rich Parisian bourgeois, and one of the twenty-one wine suppliers to the court of Louis XV.
These spaces extended, through a network of tunnels, as far as the Louvre, and history relates that in this way wine could be supplied to the Palace in complete discretion.
Later, the mansion was purchased by Jacques-François Trudon, heir to the Royal Wax Manufacture, which produced the candles used to light the Louvre and the Palace of Versailles. Jacques-François went on to establish a grocery and wine supply business and used those cellars until very recent times.
Les Caves du Louvre spread over three levels and have eleven rooms offering a unique decor and an unforgettable atmosphere.
Les Caves du Louvre can accommodate private events ranging from 2 to 200 people.
Events include oenological cocktails, seated dinners, winemaking workshops, wine and cheese tastings, grands crus tastings, and more.
The wine list will appeal to the most fervent wine lovers. Les Caves du Louvre offer wines from all over France: Grands Crus Classés, organic and biodynamic wines as well as winegrowers’ champagnes.
Les Caves du Louvre work in collaboration with the Fromagerie du Louvre and Terre(s) Traiteur to develop gourmet buffets, catering cocktails as well as lunches and dinners with local, sustainable, and environmentally friendly products.
Les Caves du Louvre is open seven days a week, all year round.
