Mama Shelter Paris East -

109 rue de Bagnolet - 75020 Paris
The Mama Shelter adventure started in 2008, with Mama Paris Est. Founded by the Trigano family (co-founder of Club Med) and Philippe Starck, Mama Shelter has always been demanding in its ambition.
Keen to settle for nothing but the best, they sought out little-known places where their ideal of a friendly, affordable, and unique living space could find its full expression. Marseille, Lyon, Bordeaux, Los Angeles, Rio de Janeiro, Belgrade, Prague and Toulouse have all been a showcase for this singular vision. In the historic district of Saint-Blaise, in the heart of authentic Paris with its flower-filled cafe terraces, gardens and an air of rebellion, Mama Shelter offers you a warm welcome.
Among artists’ studios, the Père Lachaise cemetery, ‘the country in Paris’ and paved and winding streets, you’ll encounter the spirit of Edith Piaf, Oscar Wilde, Jim Morrison and other great artists. Mama is located on the petite ceinture, the former circular railway line of Old Paris, and just opposite "La Flèche d'Or", famous Parisian venue for European pop rock.
Sensual and elegant, the 170 rooms entirely designed by Philippe Starck are equipped with Smart TV 49'' offering free VOD, Internet, TV,... and a 5-star bedding.
The restaurant offers simple homemade cooking but also dishes by Guy Savoy to enjoy with friends, family or colleagues around big tables. In the large bar, at the pizzeria or on the terrace, you are sure to come across American poets, Japanese artists or South American authors. In summer, the terrace gives you the opportunity to let your gaze wander over the roofs of Paris to the slow rhythm of the swinging of the hammock or to the sound of a game of table-tennis.
During a game of giant table football, an impromptu photobooth or videobooth session, live music on stage or simply over a meal or a cocktail, the Mama Shelter experience is something to be lived. More than just a place to eat and sleep, it is a way of meeting and sharing for everyone. Offering shelter from the worries of the outside world, Mama Shelter is comfortable, warm and reassuring, as well as lively, joyful and heavenly..
