After a slow spell between late February and early March, tourism—at least international tourism—picked up again over the first three weeks of March. Overnight stays in Greater Paris from March 1 to 29, 2025, increased by 4.4% compared to 2024. While international overnight stays grew by 7.4%, domestic (French) stays declined by -6.3%.
Tourist rentals (furnished apartments) in Greater Paris from March 1 to 26 saw a 12% increase compared to 2024.
Hotel occupancy rates in Greater Paris rose more modestly: as of March 23, they were up 2.5 points, reaching 81%.
On the international arrivals front, between March 1 and 23, air arrivals increased by 3.1%, reaching 641,000 arrivals. This growth is expected to reach 3.8% for the entire month.
The United States, the leading foreign market, recorded 112,000 arrivals over the first three weeks of March, a strong increase of 18% compared to 2024. Spain, the second-largest market over this period, reached 71,000 arrivals, up +12%.
On June 18, 19, and 21, 2025, singer Beyoncé will take center stage at the Stade de France. Anticipation surrounding this concert series is already showing in international air bookings:
+37% on Wednesday, June 18 (day before the first show),
+45% on June 19,
+25% on June 20,
+23% on Saturday, June 21.
North American bookings for June 21 show the largest increase of the month: +49%.
Forecasted international air arrivals from April 1 to 30, 2025: +16%.
As of March 23, Paris hotel occupancy forecasts stand at 76% for the week of April 7 (+9.5 points vs 2024) and 72% (+12 pts) for the week of April 14, 2025. These increases are driven by the calendar shift of Easter compared to 2024.
Encouraging prospects from April to July 2025 compared to 2024. Air bookings are up +13% overall, with increases ranging from 9% (May and July) to 16% (April), amounting to approximately 1.7 million air arrivals over these four months. Growth is partly driven by high-end travelers, with first and business class bookings also rising by 13% during this period.
