MUSEUM

Musée de la Libération de Paris - Musée du général Leclerc - Musée Jean Moulin

4 avenue du Colonel Henri Rol-Tanguy - 75014 Paris Montparnasse - Alésia
The Museum of the Liberation of Paris—the General Leclerc Museum and the Jean Moulin Museum—was inaugurated on August 25, 2019, to mark the 75th anniversary of the Liberation of Paris. The Ledoux pavilions that house the museum on Place Denfert-Rochereau, across from the Catacombs, have been fully restored and refurbished. This is an iconic site, as it served as the former command post of Colonel Rol-Tanguy, military commander of the French Forces of the Interior.
Designed to share a common history with all visitors, the museum traces the lives of two heroic figures of World War II—Philippe Leclerc de Hauteclocque and Jean Moulin—as well as the Liberation of Paris.
