Your excursion will lead you first to the Château de Chenonceau, an architectural gem built in 1513 across the river Cher. The successive embellishments by famous women such as Diane de Poitiers, Catherine de’ Medici, or Madame Dupin have shaped the romantic image and unique charm of the château. Outside, join your guide for an exploration of the magnificent French gardens.
There will then be a chance to discover the Château de Cheverny that inspired Hergé, the creator of the Adventures of Tintin, to illustrate the famous Château de Moulinsart. You can admire the château’s apartments, still filled with their original, refined, 17th-century furniture and decoration.
The exploration will end with the majestic and unmissable Château de Chambord. A veritable architectural feat, it was originally commissioned by François I to accommodate his hunting lodge. With hundreds of chimneys, rooms, and pillars, its main feature is the fascinating double helix staircase designed by Leonardo da Vinci.
