Finally, I arrived at the Louvre. I had two chances to go there while waiting for transfers, but both were on Tuesdays and the Louvre was closed. It's a long story, but... I was a little dizzy with the size and number of works, and it was a shame that I couldn't see my favorite Madonna, the Mona Lisa, up close, as it had made me so excited.

The main reason for the queue moving slowly, despite having booked a 9.30 slot, was the security control but that is something we have to accept in today's world The wait was worth it as Sainte Chapelle is stunning and the Conciergerie is historically so moving.
