Also known as the Hôtel du Garde-Meuble, the Hôtel de la Marine is one of the iconic monuments on Place de la Concorde. Once a ‘Garde-meuble’ for the monarchy (ancestor of the Mobilier national), then the headquarters of France’s Naval Ministry, the monument is now open to the public. Visitors will discover reception rooms and an exceptional loggia overlooking the Place de la Concorde.
Accompanied by their ‘Confidant’, a binaural headset (9 languages available), visitors are invited to take a 45-minute tour. And for families, there is a fun audio trail to investigate the extraordinary disappearance of the crown jewels (from 6 yrs).
What is included :
Admission to the Hôtel de la Marine is free, on presentation of a piece of ID, for: all young people under 18 yrs, European Union residents aged 18 to 25 yrs inclusive, holders of the Pass Education, job seekers, people with disabilities and the person accompanying them, ... (full list available on the museum’s website and at the venue). These free tickets can be collected directly from the Hôtel de Marine ticket office on the day of your visit.
Access to the Hôtel de la Marine is free for all on the first Sunday of each month, from October to March.
The Confidant headset is available in 9 languages : French, English, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese.
This ticket does not grant you access to the Intendant's apartments.
As part of the Vigipirate program security controls are put in place at the entrance of Parisian museums and monuments.
