Set off on an exceptional daytrip to discover Barbizon, on the edge of the forest of Fontainebleau.
This little village, made famous by landscape painters, occupies an important position in the history of art and more especially in the creation of the Pre-Impressionist movement. Painters like Théodore Rousseau, Jean-Baptiste Corot, Charles-François Daubigny, and Jean-François Millet moved here to take inspiration from its beauty and charm.
A car will come and pick you up from Porte d’Orléans and take you in the footsteps of these great artists, starting with a tour of the village with a passionate guide, a visit to the Auberge Ganne museum and the Atelier of Jean-François Millet, then a walk to discover great little addresses and galeries lining the small streets … Return to Paris is by private car enabling you to reflect on all the lovely discoveries that you have made on this day out.
