From the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Paris to the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes in 1925, the Parisian art scene at the start of the 20th century was a constant source of fascination for Americans.
From 21 October 2022 to 6 March 2023, the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine recounts the permanent rivalry between the two sides of the Atlantic.
Of course, this unique exhibition looks at architecture, but also at sculpture, at wall painting, cinema, fashion, furniture … Because Art Deco became a part of the way of life, of what was considered as the ‘Tomorrow’s World’.
