First retrospective by the artist photographer Zanele Muholi in support of the black LGBTQI + community

The Maison Européenne de la Photographie hosts the first retrospective in France dedicated to Zanele Muholi, a photographer from South Africa, in support of the black LGBTQI + community. Through her work, Muholi offers a view of the diversity of members of the community, illustrating their courage in the face of discrimination. On view from 1 February to 21 May 2023, the exhibition unveils more than 200 works, as well as archival material, and documents the journey of the internationally recognized non-binary artist. Through her portraits of the community, Zanele Muholi invites the public to question stereotypes and the idea of human dignity.
