Féminines - Olympiade culturelle

Find out how France's first women's football team came into being in this play that tells a joyous and victorious story of emancipation.

In 1968 in Reims, journalist Pierre Geoffroy, who invents an annual attraction for the newspaper l'Union's fair, decided to organise a women's football match. The women who signed up for the event were determined to make this joke the adventure of a lifetime, and ended up winning the World Cup in Taipei in 1978. This play, inventively directed by Pauline Bureau, is the true story of the first women's football team in France.
