The Paul Éluard Museum in Saint-Denis is presenting the exhibition ‘Sonia Delaunay's Simultaneous Fabrics: A Modern Vision’, highlighting the artist's innovation in the field of textiles. A pioneer of abstraction and simultaneity, Sonia Delaunay incorporated geometric patterns and bright colours into her creations, merging art and fashion. In the 1920s, she collaborated with the Manufacture Ferret Frères in Saint-Denis to produce revolutionary printed fabrics, using block printing techniques. These fabrics, characterised by bold geometric shapes and colour contrasts, reflect her desire to democratise art by integrating it into everyday life. The exhibition offers an in-depth perspective on this creative period, presenting original works and archive documents. A unique opportunity to discover how Sonia Delaunay transformed the landscape of fashion and textile design in the 20th century.
