An exhibition devoted to the thought and cultural policy of the President of Senegal Léopold Senghor.

The Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac presents an exhibition devoted to the thought and cultural policy developed by Léopold Sédar Senghor, President of Senegal from 1960 to 1980. A writer, poet and politician, Senghor was one of the pioneers of the Négritude movement, alongside Aimé Césaire, Léon-Gontran Damas, Suzanne Césaire, and Jane and Paulette Nardal. The exhibition offers a panorama of his policy in the arts, and his initiatives to encourage the arts and  cultural heritage in the generations that succeeded him. Showing from 7 February to 12 November 2023.
From Tuesday to Sunday, from 10.30 am to 7 pm, until 10 pm on Thursday. Closed on Mondays.
